Economic benefits of satellite positioning more than $6 billion
The Minister for Resources and Northern Australia Matt Canavan this week released an independent economic benefits analysis by EY into the trial of a Satellite-Based Augmentation System (SBAS) for Australia and New Zealand.
The trial of world-first satellite positioning technology was led by ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ in partnership with Land Information New Zealand with FrontierSI managing industry projects.
The 18–month trial across 27 projects in 10 industries showed the economic benefits could top $6 billion in Australia over the next 30 years.
